As some of you may know, I love movies and TV based on comics, but I rarely read the actual comics they're based on. In anticipation of Captain America: Civil War, I bought a trade paperback copy of the main Civil War storyline... and I hated it!
For me, the big problem with the comic version was that it portrayed Cap's side (or, as calls them, the Anti-Reg) as the bad guys, and being Jewish, I'm sure you can understand why that would upset me. However, given that the movie version appears to be primarily about Cap, I'm guessing Kevin Feige and the Russo brothers didn't make that mistake.
Another thing I hated was how, in the comics, this whole thing started because a bunch of dumb kids picked a fight with some supervillains for a goddamn reality TV show! But, thanks to the trailer, I can assume that's another mistake the movie avoids. I also hated the way Maria Hill was portrayed in the comics, and I can't even begin to describe how much I loathe Miriam Sharpe; thank God she's not in the movie.
Does anyone else agree with me? Do you have another reason for disliking the comic? Do you think I'm just overreacting? I'd loved to hear your opinions. But, if it's at all possible, try to respond politely.

Aladdin comes to life
This is beautiful!
I know many of you will say it's just a cash grab, but I don't care. There's just something magical about seeing all these animated films from my childhood come to life. Aladdin was always special to me; I owned 3 copies of it on VHS, and when I was little, I literally couldn't fall asleep without it playing on the TV in my room.
Will Smith will never be able to replace Robin Williams, but clearly, he's not trying to. He's making the Genie his own. But, for me, what matters the most is the chemistry between Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott. Aladdin and Jasmine were my childhood OTP, and if there's no spark between the actor
Excelsior!
Stan Lee, former editor-in-chief, publisher, and chairman of Marvel Comics, who created some of the most popular characters in the Marvel universe, passed away today. :(
May he rest in peace. Excelsior, Stan.
Murder on the Orient Express
Let's play a game. I want you to watch these two trailers and tell me how many members of the all-star cast you recognize. Whoever recognizes the most wins... something; most likely a cake badge.

Happy Star Wars Day!
May the 4th be with you!
Also, in case you haven't noticed, is giving out special May the 4th badges. If you want one, go to this journal, and follow the instructions.
